Ref my post under "sattelite a105 ac power adapter". The problem may be a loose conection on the motherboard from the A/C power socket.
I had all the same symptoms folks have been describing and fixed it by re-soldering the loose connection. It was very difficult to see. had to use a magnifying glass while wiggling the power plug. To see this will require some dissasembly even to see the connection on ther motherboard. It will take complete removal of the motherboard to fix it.

I don't mean to bring life back this post. Well I took the advice and contacted BBB and Attorney general regarding the matter. The company responded to the BBB with claims that my unit came in dusty lcd and keyboard was physically damaged and scratched. Luckily I took photos before I dropped off unit and when I picked up unit (timed and dated of course with reciepts to confirm). I don't know excactly how this will help me, so I am prepping to replace the motherboard on my own (simply because I cannot afford a new computer, thus why i thought buying a warranty was a great idea) The toshiba tech I called gave me V000108790 as the replacement part for my motherboard, but the problem I have with this is the color of the RAM slots is different. Both mine are dark grey, but this particular part number has a dark grey top slot and white lower slot.
I also have a web camera on my unit, it wont be a total loss if I can't find a motherboard that supports the built in cam
Just wondering where I may find a parts list for the A215-S5822 computer? or for that matter a computer that is very simliar to the S5822 that i can find on ebay and salvage the motherboard.

You may have done so, but I would double check if the AC adapter is working. From what I see it could be as that simple. Mine went out after six month of purchasing the laptop. One day the laptope simply would not take a charge. After battery died no lights, no start, no boot up. Luckily I had two more Toshiba laptops in my house, so I borrowed an AC adapter from another and noticed that laptop is taking charge from that one and boots up. From that point I figured out that the problem has been isolated and the AC adapter is the cause of trouble. The laptop was still under warranty, I called Toshiba and had them ship me another AC adapter. No problems (knock on the wood) ever since. I like my toshiba.
