Batteries and Power

Just bought A5005-S6980 from BestBuy. Specs says it has 12 cells battery but does not show how long the battery hour is. Went to Toshiba's website and still does not mention what does 12 cells battery benefit me?

If I recall correctly, when I purchased mine at Best Buy, the battery life was indicated at 5 3/4 hours.  However, I can assure you that it actually will go quite a bit longer than that.

I've ran mine while mostly surfing the internet and streaming video from my local home wireless network for about 6 hours and the battery indicated was still showing more than 1 hour of battery time left.

I don't think you will have any complaints about the battery longevity, however I'm sure each person uses their computer differently, so you may get more or less battery life than I do.

In econo mode you should get close to 7 hrs or maybe a little longer. In balanced mode you will get 4 1/2 to 5 hrs. It depends a lot on what applications you are using.

 I love the 12 cell battery.  Never had a laptop that gets near an average of 6 hours or more.  I like that the battery bulge keeps the laptop higher so there is more air circulation.  I wish there was an audio sound when the battery gets below 10%. Sometimes I don't notice  the battery indicator down in the corner.  Yes, a beeper would be nice.
