Hi there

I'm new in this forum i would like that you'd help me, i purchased a Lap-top a505-s6960  with Windows vista, but for me is too slow and it consumes too much resources from the system so i tried to change it to Windows Xp because beside of that the new OS don't work well with some software and hardware that i need, So i would be very happy if i could install Windows XP and Windows Seven whit my system partitioned, which is very easy to do and use it, but my problem is the drivers of both of them i can't find a complete cluster of them installed windows seven since the first day that i bought the computer because seemed to me bad that vista was consuming almost 1.8 Gb of RAM memory and i couldn't notice that there is a software of toshiba to update it to Windows seven from vista and most of the hardware is working but not all, like the multimedia buttons and some unknown devices that shows the device manager. What can i do? I don;t know if would be better to use the recovery disc to install again vista and with that program update to vista, but if it just update vista and doesn't format all the previous information is going to be in excess, so i likely prefer the drivers of Xp and seven i that would possible.

Please tell me your opinion fellows or better the drivers LOL.

Toshiba doesn't support that system under Windows XP and therefore doesn't supply XP drivers for that system.  One of the other users with that system rounded up a set of XP drivers for it and posted them here.  I would give them a try.

As for WIndows 7 drivers, they can be found via the Product Support Link at the top of this page.  You'll need to download them one at a time as they don't provide an all-in-one download of all of them.  You can also try the Toshiba Software Installer program to see if it will install them for you.
