Good day, official supporters!

I bought my Laptop (Satellite A215-S5848) with preinstalled Windows Vista with all the drivers and additional programms from Toshiba. But I don't like Windows Vista at all! Now I want to install Windows XP SP3. But I'm worried because of absence of all necessary drivers for Windows XP on the official web-site!

... I found some of them (5) for Windows XP SP3 but (near 40) for all laptop's devices.

Why is it so? Why there is no drivers for Windows XP for my laptop on the official web site? Where should I get them, tell me, please? I don't like Windows Vista and it is only my choise which operating system I prefare. Don't you think that such policy (to force the users to change XP on Vista) restrict rights of your customers who prefare Windows XP? Where can I find all the XP drivers for my model?

There are no XP drivers because Toshiba doesn't support XP on systems that ship with Vista.  There's no mystery there, Microsoft is phasing out XP and allows it to be sold on current machines only under specific circumstances.  If you had to have a machine with XP on it you should have bought one with Vista Business and XP downgrade rights.  Otherwise, it is up to you to find the proper drivers.  In some cases you may have to tolerate reduced functionality.  You can sometimes find XP drivers by going to Toshiba Europe and looking for the same family of machines.  The family corresponds to the first part of the part number; in your case PSAEGU.  The equivalent European family is PSAEGE.  Sometimes Toshiba Europe has drivers that aren't available on the US site.

But there are some of them (drivers) for XP. Why there are not the others?

In any case could I use drivers for Vista 32 bit for my laptop devices in XP system?

According to the specs above, your computer is in part-number family PSAEGU.

See my message regarding that situation.

It really works. The most of drivers I found on your link (between 31 drivers) and 2 others I found on the Internet by my own hand.

Forgot to tell you that some of the drivers (hotkeys, utilities, bluetooth stack or agent) don't want to install
