The HD on my Satellite M40-S5692 died and I replaced it with a new drive. However, my Toshiba Recovery and Applications disk will not work to reload Win 98 and necessary drivers. It gets stuck in a loop asking me whether I REALLY want to do this and do I know this will erase all information on the HD; then it asks the same two questions over and over again and won't progress. On a message board I read that this is due to having BIOS 1.20 instead of the original BIOS. Any information on this? If so how do I regress to 1.0?
Oh, and I did use the Express Media Player Recovery CD first, which enabled me to get this far.
