I have tried CD DVD, and windows loading latest Bios from Jan 09 All three methods fail or lock my Satellite P105-S9339 it is a vista os. My Video card is locking up because the fan is not working.

Since all 3 methods either lock up with black screen on reboot, or with windows fails to load all 25 sectors. I wonder if that BIOS file has a problem?

I recently went back to factory Build. With CDs included.

I have this unit, no need to do the BIOS update as it held[for me at least] less significant updates , some features no in use by me.  That said video locking up a direct result of overheating-thus clean the fan and exhaust port free of debris. Reload of the OS Ultimate Recovery Disc should cure the corrupted BIOS.  Take off all external devices for now.  Check Device Manager for any errors.  Type in at Search  eventvwr, locate System Log and locate any error! listing and check repair solution there.  Try a chill mat or desk type mat to help with air flow.  Put an extra monitor on to check video display and still locks up feasible the card is tired.  Check Device Manager for Display and ensure driver is up to date..should read-driver version should read 7.15.10.9754.

If recommendations not assist best to take to Service Center for a diagnostic, definitely would help.

Got it booted but went through 20 different boots with blue screen of death Nvidia card error.

The fan is still not running atm.

I checked Toshiba driver page for driver :

7.15.10.9754

I found last display driver listed : NVIDIA Display Driver for Vista V7.15.11.5666 (v7.15.11.5666; 12-14-2007

Improved :VGA Fan did not work properly. Is part of the solution from ACPI BIOS driver

At the moment not all the video anomilies are totally gone. Booting is a good sign

Check Device Manager for an error and correct them if needed to be done. Was the Recovery Disc utilized?
