Multiple BSOD's brought me to this forum. After many post it was suggested to do a System Restore. Now I cannot use the DVD-RW because the driver is corrupt. I can not rollback to a former driver. Windows update says the correct driver is installed. I tried to seach for a driver with no luck. Pioneer DVD_RW DVRKD08L ATA device.

I can not rollback to a former driver.
Try uninstalling the driver in Device Manager and rebooting.
Which Satellite A305?

I went to thE Pioneer site clicked, on computer DVDs, searched in older models but it was not there. A google shows no such DVD-RW. Every site wants me to download Driver Robot and pay $30 for the software.

The driver is native to Windows Vista.
In most cases like this, the hardware is misbehaving. The only way to tell for sure is to restore the hard disk to its original factory-new contents using Toshiba recovery media.
