My Toshiba Satellite Pro M200's Flash card keep disabling itself when I shut down my notebook. I can only use it again when I re run the flash card application in the program files-toshiba-flash cards-TCrdMain.
What can I do or toggle so the flash card would activate automatically?
Thanks in advance

Hello everyone.
Yesterday I mistakenly dropped my SATELLITE A215-S7437 on the floor. Since then, it won’t boot and giving me the following messages:
“Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause”. Then it tells me to insert a windows installation disk… choose settings…. And repair your computer.
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
I do have the recovery disks that TOSHIBA had sent me one time but it still does not accepting it.
But, when I call Toshiba, the tech support told me that the problem might be with the memory. I checked the memory cards they LOOK ok. Do you know how to solve the problem?. Can anyone help, please?
Pierre

It wasn't a good idea to post your request in an existing thread that doesn't have anything to do with your problem. That will make it very confusing to have to deal with two entirely seperate issues in the same thread. Next time START YOUR OWN THREAD.
Now to answer your question, you more than likely messed up the hard drive. You need to go into the bios (setup) by hitting the F2 key right after you power up your computer. Look at the line that says "Hard Disk Drive" and let us know what it says. Once we know that we'll tell you what to do next.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

Sorry if I posted under an existing tread, I did that because I could not see the new tread button. Can you remind me how to get it again?
When I try to use the recovery disk, it gives me the window tilted: DMI.EXE having the following message:
“The instruction at 0x77032613 referenced memory at 0x004a188a. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the program.
When I click ok it gives me another message that reads: error :03-EEE-0000
In the PhoenixBIOS Setup Utility, the Hard Disk Drive reads: TOSHIBA MK2035GSS-(S1).
Thanks for your help. Pierre

You click on the RED NEW MESSAGE button. If there isn't one and there is only a Red Reply Button, then you are in an existing thread and you need to navigate to the catagory that best fits your question.
You need to go to this page, download the Drive Fitnes Test Self Booting CD ISO Image, create the self booting disk as per instructions (see http://iso.snoekonline.com/iso.htm if you are unsure how to do this), then boot to that CD and run the most exhaustive test to determine if the hard drive sustained any physical damage when it fell. There is a User's Guide that you can download there that will explain everything you need to know about running it.
When you have finished running that post the results back here and we'll see what the next step should be. Until that is done however, it's pointless to try anything else.

Ok. I don’t know what I did wrong now, but the computer won’t open the program. I went to the page; I click on the link that says: CD image (2,720 K). It gives me the option to either save it or open it. I saved it twice both on a cd and on my desktop. But, when I try to open it on my pc, it asks me to either chose a program on my list to open it with or use the internet. I insert the cd on the laptop, it does not even read it. Don’t you think it happens because the pc that I use to make the cd is running on Windows XP?

You didn't follow directions. You can't jsut put the file on a CD, you have to burn it to the CD using the "Burn From An Image" option. See the link I posted previously for instructions on doing that.

I’m sorry if I did not follow your directions. How long it should take, do you know? Because I’m at work and the time for me to leave has come. Can I stop it and finish it later or can I just put the laptop in my car while it’s loading and plug it back when I get home?
At the bottom of the screen it says Mouse driver installed
Loading DFT…

Depending on the size of the hard drive and how much damage it finds it could take several hours. If you have to leave work I recommend shutting the system down, taking it home, then start it again when you get there.
