Forum Guidelines and Tips [read only]

I'd like to introduce someone who has been active behind the scenes since we launched these forums at the end of last year.  Keith has been our backup Admin and Moderator since before we brought in Chico and Trina as Board Moderators, and has more recently been helping me out by keeping an eye on general activity and trends.

Keith, take a bow...

Effective immediately, Keith will be the Lead Moderator here in the forums.  In this capacity, he will oversee and assist Trina and Chico in their day-to-day message board management tasks, handle misc. day-to-day exceptions as needed, and continue his general board monitoring.

In the context of referencing forums moderation, I want to also give a reminder that this is not an official Toshiba support presence but strictly a user-to-user support community.  And a pretty great one at that, thanks to some extremely knowledgeable and helpful members.  Our board monitoring may, depending on the topic and details, sometimes lead to offline technical staff research or be forwarded to other groups within Toshiba for their review.  As a general rule there won't be any response in the forums within the context of a discussion, but we do notice what is happening here and information here does sometimes lead to action behind the scenes, including documentation of solutions as Support Bulletins.  If a solution becomes available for issues raised in the forums then there will be postings or announcements to make sure that information is passed back into the community.

Finally, thanks to all who participate here in whatever ways you can and do.  We are still a very young community with plenty of room for growth and improvement.  Toshiba essentially provides this platform and attempts to structure a usable environment.  We appreciate the expertise and generosity of the top contributors here who are so instrumental in making this a real community.  We look forward to forum members and visitors continuing to learn from each other and we will continue to develop the structure to help facilitate that process.
