Satellite Pro L450-EZ1543 Intel Core 2 Duo T6670 64-bit Windows XP PRO 32-bit comes installed.
From the L450 Spec sheets:
"Certain device drivers and/or applications may not be compatible with a 64-bit CPU and therefore may not function properly."
Will my programs such as Photoshop 7 run? What about some old utilites from Win95 days but run fine on my current Satellite A45 with WinXP? And my current printer/scanner? Would those drivers have to be updated?
I can't reply as to specific software or drivers, but on a 64 bit OS (not CPU, OS), 16-bit programs will not run. This would include 16-bit versions of Installshield which some software companies continued to use with their 32-bit applications as a money saving ploy. I would suspect that some of those old Win95 programs would fall into the 'won't run' category if you're using Win7 64 or Vista 64.
