Since the last week in May my Satellite A305-S6825 has shut down 3-4 times a day with a blue screen. Driver IRQL_not_less_or_equal. I have automatic updates and have checked every driver on my machine. I uninstalled my software for my Sony digital audio recorder, Design Studio for Cricut cutter, my camera. The blue screen suggested disabling the shadowing and caching in BIOS. I took the laptop to BEST BUY Geek Squad and they replace the ram. I have spent 5 hour long sessions with MicroSoft Techs. I have gone through all the suggestions in the Problem reports section. I have studied the event viewer, but I don't know what to look for. Here is one of the latest logs.

IRQL_not_less_or_equal
That's a STOP 0X0000000A.
Bug Check 0xA: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
See if you can locate that one in Event Viewer.
Thank you for the excellent post of the Event Viewer entry. As before, double-click on the entry and click the Copy button. We need only the part down to the line Event Xml:.
What are you doing with the BSOD occurs?
I have studied the event viewer, but I don't know what to look for.
Your best bet is the exact time. Check the System and Application logs for Error events at the same time as the crash.

Followed the link. They didn't address debugging in Vista. Does Vista have a debugging tool?
Is it safe to disable shadowing in BIOS? How do I do that?
There is no consistency in the BSOD occurrence. The last time I was playing Solitaire.
- sending the info to MS
- moving photos from one folder to another
- editing a webpage in MS Expressions
- using IE
- Several time using Word xp which I know has compatibility issues but I've used it for almost a year with no problems.
Seems like the last time I sought help from MS techs I have mostly these STOP 0X0000000A. I think he updated the display driver which had to be a generic.

That bugcheck is often related to intermittent memory failure. Try running a test overnight.
Does it occur when you're not networked?

Tried to work in event viewer and had a couple of BSOD but I did find this.
DFS Replication service has stopped. Event 1008 5-27-09 This is about when the BS started.
Also Cisco EAD Publisher misconfigured or corrupted so it had no events.

When I tried to copy the Cisco file this was corrupt and showed no info. When I tried to save as an event file, I couldn't find it again.
But I did find this from when I couldn't keep the computer running last night. I have no clue what I am doing!

I took the laptop to BEST BUY Geek Squad and they replace the ram. I have spent 5 hour long sessions with MicroSoft Techs.
Time to restore the hard drive to its original factory-new contents using Toshiba recovery media.
See the section Hard Drive Recovery Utilities which begins on p. 59 of the User's Guide.
