Cannot see images on Internet emails such as Staples, pictures are missing.

Cannot see images on Internet emails such as Staples, pictures are missing; I use to see them, something has changed. What do I do to fix it?

Which computer?
Which Windows?
Which email program?
Which type of image files? What are the extensions?
Do those open from the hard drive?
What do you do to open them from email?
What happens instead?
Please spend some time to explain all of that in detail.
