Im using a serial to USB adapter for data transfer to and from my laptop to Digi scales and have been having problems with timeouts on the incoming gate stream.
Outgoing is fine Incoming is the problem!
I have been using a Quatech SPX-100 Pc-express card.
So I also bought a USB to Serial RS232 from radio shack and still have the same problem.
I am currently using windows 7 but I had Vista with SP2 and Windows XP with sp 2 and sp3 and still the exact same problem that is why I think its a problem with the laptop. It worked fine on my old Pentium 4 HP.
When I try to receive a file from the scale it will run fine for anywhere from 3 seconds to 3 minutes then say
(End of transmission time out).
