Hi i have a toshiba sattellite l305d with a amd athlon 64 x2. and it runs at 2.0 ghz but is rated at 3.somethin Ghz. i was wondering could i have it overclocked safely with my power supply and possibly a stronger fan? or can i upgrade to a processor atleast a 2.4 ghz strength.

You are kidding right? There are NO overclocking settings in the bios nor is there a more robust cooling system that you can put in it. You might be able to replace the cpu, but I have no idea which ones it might be able to run successfully.

That won't be necessary in this case. Even if I knew specifically which model it was I still wouldn't know what cpu's you could upgrade to. But my advice is to not even attempt it. The minimal performance gain wouldn't be worth the hassle or expense.
