M10 Tecra and docking station issues, need help fast

I am a network administrator for a medium company. Every user that is using a laptop has an M10 model S3411.

I am running Vista Enterprise, 32 bit, bitlocker and TPM enabled.

I started having issues with a laptop, right after I did the bitlocker setup. It would try to find usb to serial driver. Couldnt find it. Thought that there was something wrong after I installed SP2 for Vista. Long story short, after the uninstall of SP2 failed and locked up the system, I rebuilt it, wiped the drive, reinstalled everything from scratch.

This was with it off the docking station. Bitlocker enabled, laptop running great. Took it back to the users desk, powered off, put it on the docking station and powered it up. Upon logon, it started looking for the USB to serial driver again, started locking up the computer. Took it off the docking station, ran fine. Put it on the docking station, went haywire again.

Took it to another users station, powered off. Put it on an identical docking station, started going haywire again.

So it isnt the docking station, it has something to do with the laptop and drivers. Is there something wrong with the docking port on the laptop?

Is there something I can do to resolve this, or am I calling support for motherboard issues?

Thanks for any help.
