I'm trying to recover the hard disk on my Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5895. The user manual states that there's a partition to recover the drive. The user manual says to press and hold the 0 (zero) key while booting the machine. The recovery wizard is supposed to display as the machine powers up. That's not happening for me.
When the machine is off, I press and hold 0, boot the machine. But Windows Vista Home Premium boots up normally.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a way to force the recovery wizard to display?
Thanks.

Many of the new Toshiba laptops have a hidden partition on the hard drive for running the Recovery. It is a cool feature, but it is not on all Toshiba laptops. I could not find any information showing that your Satellite L305D-S5895 included a hidden hard drive Recovery partition. The only way that you will be able to reimage the hard drive is to use the Recovery CDs. If you have lost or damaged your Recovery DVDs, you can always order new ones at 800-457-7777.
