Actually I tried one driver I found on the US support site, I don't even know the models it was for but it seems to work perfectly for me.  It has a somewhat different software then the other ones, for example now when I scroll I get a Icon on screen that indicates scrolling.  But the good part is that I haven't had any problems since I installed it 2 days ago.  The driver is version 7.105.303.117 with alps software version 7.105.303.117 downloaded from here driver_touchpad_alps_TC70018700D.exe (toshiba website)

I'm having the same problem and have yet to find a solution. I suspect the pad gets too hot and starts to flake out even after brief usage but who knows...it's a flaky pad no doubt.
