So I did a search on this forum and things still dont work. On my both Toshiba laptops Fn keys wont work except for volume and brightness and they wont show up on the top of the screen. I've downloaded Value added package for both laptops, I correctly checked if I am downloading for the right laptop, installed, restarted and still nothing happens. This is the info I needed to search for VAP download files on Toshiba website. Old laptop is Satellite A300D, model PSAHCE, vista 32 and the new one is Satellite A500, part PSAM3E, vista 32. It didnt ask anything about the full model/part number in the form, only that, nothing else.

There is one more thing but I doubt this could cause anything. I'm using Ashampoo startup tuner and I've disabled programs, but I've also checked the programs on google so I dont disable something I need. Which program should run at startup for Fn keys to function? I only know about Synaptics and left it enabled, but thats for touchpad I think. Other than that, I really wouldnt know what could be wrong.

I have A500-136 PSAM3E

I also had problem with multimedia keys and fn key not working.

I reinstalled windows and after it was ok.

hi

i have a toshiba netbook NB200. When i purchased it and trialed in the store it had windows 7 and the Fn keys all worked.

Now i have had it for a couple of weeks and proably installed some updates they no longer work.

any hints?
