Here is some assistance for that Europe model, post query there: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/
As an interim measure try- open Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Auto Play and reset as you desire.

I ve got the same problem. And solved myself like that:
Go to registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Toshiba\TBS\DefaultSet
It should be like:
OPT1 = wmplayer.exe
OPT2 = /Task Media Library
And you need:
OPT1 = jetaudio.exe
OPT2 = "you can delete this values content, or you can write a jetaudio startup parameter like above"
Hope it works with your system.
Have a nice JET=)
&hope not too late![]()

Hello,
I changed the button to iTunes really easy.
The way i did it was that i went to:
Start
All programs
Toshiba
Utilities
Clicked Toshiba Assist
Clicked optimize
Clicked Toshiba Button Support
Changed "Button Name" to "CD/DVD"
Typed in the program you want in description, which was iTunes for me
Then for "Target Path" you click browse and select that program (you have to find the actual file location for the program) and then click register
Now, Everytime i click that button iTunes opens for me instead of that Media Player thing
Hope this helped, and if you were already helped, well that's good then. ![]()

I was able to use these instructions to change the button settings on my A215 so that it would open Windows Mail instead of Windows Media Player. Thank you very much.

I changed the registry values in order to open iTunes when I press the media buttons on my Toshiba A300 and it has worked O K.
..In a way of it loading iTunes like normal when pressed and having the ability to change track, play/pause, etc.
but when I minimize iTunes, I can't do any of those operations.
What do I have to change in order for iTunes to Fully integrate with the media buttons.
This is what I typed in for the registry changes:
OPT1 = itunes.exe
OPT2 = /Task Media Library
