Love my old M-45 - but just re-installed XP OS and cannot for the life of me figure out how to stop things from opening, changing screens, etc. when I have fingers NEAR touchpad or touchpad buttons.   I have changed rates, disabled touch and launch, shut off all sensitive areas of touchpad, etc.     This old Granny just rests my hands near the pad too much, I guess - mail opens when I haven't finished reading another one, web pages change when my cursor is evidently near a URL, etc.   And, I'm sure I'm not actually "touching' anything - just hovering.    

Can some patient soul out there help me out!

By Jove, Jerry, I think you got it!!!    Of course, I had to dig through all of the mouse control screens to find it!  LOL   And, I really thought I was getting pretty "computer literate"

Didn't check it on everything, but it really seems to have done the job in IE and in Thunderbird links.
