I bought this laptop yesterday from Best Buy, and the mouse touchpad is the most FRUSTRATING thing in the world. I can drag my fingers across it, and it barely moves. When it does move, more often than not it actives the zoom function, and any website I am on becomes either huge or tiny depending on the direction I am moving my fingers.
This didn't happen on the model I tested in the store, perhaps it is a lemon? Anyone else having this issue?

I just bought mine yesterday as well and the touchpad works perfectly. The one thing that I found is that coming from my former laptop, I am having to get used to using the touchpad as I constantly have two fingers on the pad by accident. My former laptop had a much smaller and more recessed touchpad and I go used to the way I laid my fingers on the base of the computer. Now I have to learn to adjust on this new Toshiba. I did get some weird touchpad response while getting used to this though. Keep that in mind. Just my $.02

Go to the control panel/mouse
Click on the synaptics tab and then on advanced.
You should be able to adjust the sensitivity of the pad...this should help. Also go to http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers and download the latest driver for the touch pad. It enables two finger scrolling and several other fine tuning aspects for the pad.
Hope this helps.
