U405-S2820 Media Control keys and Mute Key not responding

I've a Satellite U405-S2820. I am experiencing a problem for a week now. The touch sensitive Media control keys and Mute key of my laptop are not responding. Its constantly shimmering, even when i turn my laptop off, probably utilising the battery power . What should i do to fix this this up?

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling this Toshiba utility.
