Hi, My Satellite A305-6845 works great, no probs. My wireless works great in public places and I haven't had any probs until recently when a new encryption system has shown up in three restaurants here in Quito, Ecuador, which use an encryption system called WPA-PSK. I've got WPA-TKIP and AES in my Vista OS which I can manage manually, but there doesn't seem to be a line item for setting up with WPA-PSK systems. What do I need to do to be able to connect to WiFi systems with WPA-PSK encryption?

an encryption system called WPA-PSK. I've got WPA-TKIP and AES
There are two selection boxes. When you select Personal in the first one, you have selected PSK (Pre-Shared Key). When you select between TKIP and AES in the second one, you are selecting a type of encryption.
You'll find that stuff buried someplace in this document.

Jerry, Thanks much for the info! I'm going to try this out the next time I'm in one of the restaurants where I couldn't connect. regards, Tambopaxi
