Re: Atheros AR9825 WLAN on Toshiba NB205 Crashes Routers

To update my previous post, disabling the power saving feature in the Atheros device manager was the key. All the hanging and freezing and dropped connections went away after disabling it and rebooting. Not just the items mentioned above need to be disabled, but any other setting in there related to power. I don't have the NB in front of me to list it out in detail. The NB205 works great now, pages load right up and there hasn't been a noticeable change in the battery life either.

Re: Atheros AR9825 WLAN on Toshiba NB205 Crashes Routers

I am having same problem and checked Windows Hardware Compatibility List for XP (winqual.microsoft.com/HCL/ProductList.aspx?m=x&g=d&cid=711&f=86d). It seems like Atheros AR9285 is not compatible with XP. Does anyone know about it??

Thanks for the advice, Jason. But didn't you say to choose "enable" in your first post, not "disable?" I'm confused...

I'm having similar problems, with the added problem that the Wireless icon doesn't show up in the area where the time is in the toolbar thingy. I need help.
