I cannot connect wirelessly, I have the Satellite M305-S4819. A few months ago my computer suddenly would not connect to the internet anymore via wireless. I am however able to plug in to the modem just fine. Well new house and new internet company that put the modem in the basement, so its now a pain to use the computer. I took it in to the "squad" and they told me that "unit needs to be restored. The wireless problem is caused by corrupt toshiba software that is integrated with networking." They also said i need to have a recovery disc before they can even start on it.
Can anybody help?? The computer works fine except the wireless. I have ran all tests on computer through the task manager and most say the wirless is working fine but a few say the wireless needs to be reinstalled. Help Help

Thing is with wireless, as long as the computer is able to detect wireless networks, its hardware (meaning the wireless card) is working.
Is it able to detect wireless networks?
As for doing a restore (which I'm assuming is a system recovery, which is akin to reinstalling Windows), if that computer did not come with a recovery disk/s, then it would have a recovery partition in the hard drive. Press and hold down 0, turn the computer on, keep the 0 pressed until you hear an audible beep then let go, and if you've accessed the recovery partition correctly, you'll be able to see the words "Windows is Loading Files" on the screen.

Hi Good Day,
I agreed doing recovery as well and then kindly check for high performance antenna for your wireless router from the router manufacturer in order to add more wireless range if the modem and wireless router are placed in basement. Hope that helps.![]()

Won't hurt to reinstall the wireless driver.
