HELP Toshiba satellite l50525990 will not connect to 2wire

Hi, bought this laptop today. I do get internet via neighbors network, or via broadband cable directly into laptop. However i cannot get wireless using my own 2WIRE. it says connected and strong signal strength, but internet won't come up, and help messages are useless. This is why i hate msft. PLEASE Help, thanks!

Maybe this one?
I do get internet via neighbors network, or via broadband cable directly into laptop. However i cannot get wireless using my own 2WIRE.
Not uncommon with Windows NT 6.x.
Check for a firmware upgrade for the router.
