Customization/Ordering help

I've been looking for a Toshiba laptop and stumbled across This customization plan (Toshiba Direct).

 

I've never really ordered anything offline, especially not "customized" items. A few questions come to mind..

 

1. I assume they allow you to register and choose where to have the laptop shipped, but to be sure.. They ship straight to your home, correct?

 

2. How can I be sure that it's shipped with the correct hardware added once I've chosen the "custom" options for it?

 

3. They can be ordered from the site using a credit card, correct?

 

 

 

I'm sure people who read this will be thinking that the answers to these are common sense, but people who have never done any online shopping might not think so... :smileytongue:

  1. Normally thew will ship to the address listed on the Credit Card to avoid fraud.  If the address on the card is different than the address one intends to have it shipped to one should add that address to their credit card as a secondary address.  I've only had a problem doing that one time and stopped using that finacial institution. 
  2. You can't  You just have to trust that they will get it right the first time.  You will have a copy of the order so if what they ship isn't correct they will correct it. That's no knock against Toshiba.  That happens with ANY company one does business with.  
  3. That's about the only way to pay for it online other than a Debit Card.  You'll need to contact them to see about other payment options.
