TDP-ET20 Projector

Dear Sirs,

I have bought a Toshiba TDP ET-20 projector, with built-in DVD player, but I am a bit confused regarding some technical possibilities. Can you please inform me, if it is possible to view TV using this projector. I mean, is there a possibility to connect cable TV to the projector in some way? Please let me know asap, because I am going to buy one soon, and I am very interested in specifically this model.

Thanks in advance....

Well your device has an S-Video In port where you can connect a TV. The TV set that you need to use on that particular projector should have an S-Video Out port for you connect it to the TV.

Also it has the Composite ports that you can use.

Re: TDP-ET20 Projector

I'm sure you can connect a Television to display whatever's showing on your TV.  As for connecting a Cable TV to your projector, this requires the device to have a TV Tuner which it doesn't have.  There are, however, projection TVs available in the market that are for that specific purpose.

Re: TDP-ET20 Projector

Hi Numselingus

Cable TV needs a TV tuner. You can either connect the cable to the TV and then the TV to the projector using a composite cable (3 headed on both sides - yellow for video and red and black (or red and white) for audio. However the TV will have to be kept on while you are viewing on the projector.

Another way is to use a Digital video recorder (DVR) or the older VCR's. These devices come with a TV tuner. Connect the cable to the DVR or VCR and the component signal out to the projector.

Hope that helps
