Qosmio 35-AV650 Blue line on left side of monitor

Hello, I hope someone can assist me with this issue. I have a Qosmio av650 and the graphic is bad. I contact Toshiba and they told me I need a new screen. I went a head and replace it ($600) and that was not the issue. I contact Toshiba again and I have been getting the run around. Maybe some one out there have experience this issue and can help or give me some advice how to address this issue.

Thanks,

I don't understand.  Are you saying that you had Toshiba repair the notebook and they replaced the screen but didn't fix the problem?

Thanks for your response. I spoke with a support rep on the phone and he told me I need to replace the screen... I took it to a Toshiba repair center and they replace the screen.

Did you tell the Toshiba ASP what the problem was, or did you just tell them to change the screen?  If you told them what the problem was, and they didn't fix it, then you need to take up the 'non-repair' of the problem with the ASP.  On the other hand, if you just told them to 'change the screen', without saying why or stating what the problem was, then I'd have to say that you haven't any complaint with the service.

Yes, I did let them then know the issue and it was recommended by Toshiba to replace the screen. This screen was special order so it mine to keep, I still have the original. I will give Toshiba another call. I just want to get this working. Thanks again.

I've flagged your post for a moderator to read.  Sounds like a failure of the Toshiba Customer Support / Repair system that the moderator may want to elevate.

The 'Flag for moderator' link is intended for reporting abuse by forum members. Forum moderators and administrators are not technical support reps and, per the Forums Terms of Service, Toshiba provides no official support in the forums.

With that said, in this situation I don't recommend you call Toshiba.  I assume you are out of warranty.  It sounds like you might have a hardware problem.  Hardware problems can be difficult to diagnose over the phone.  Which is why when you call they normally won't state which part is the problem, or if the customer pushes, they will normally say something like "it might be this part".

Best recommendation is to take it to an Authorized Service Provider, or if you are in the USA you can send it to the Toshiba repair depot for a flat fee no matter the repair.  Please call Toshiba for more details on that option.
