Qosmio G30

I placed a cd into the cd rom, closed the tray, pressed open and when the tray slides out, the cd was nowhere to be seen. The CD has probably dropped inside the laptop. Does anyone know how to retrieve it? thanks.

This page that has guides for removing the DVD drive on a G35 as well as complete teardown info on it.  I'm not certain how close a G30 and G35 are, but it should lead you in the right direction.

Re: Qosmio G30

Unfortunately no other than checking for loose wires or connections.

Here are two good sources for Toshiba parts though.

   National Parts Depot

   Spare Parts Warehouse
