hi im an over the road trucker and have been having heat issues with my x305-q701 its well out of warranty so i took apart and cleaned good the teardown guide i found shows the unit to have 2 fans i only have one am i supposed to have 2 if not can i add an extra ? thnx for the help btw nvidia system tools show the 9700m gts hitting 111 deg celcius b4 i cleaned it now running a lot cooler but i think the extra fan would help even more

No, the X305 Q701 only has one fan, that's located @ the GPU.

Try changing drivers and also make sure your laptop is flat, not like on something that has cloth, it will obstruct the fan holes.
