qosmio x305 q705 cursor missing

Hi

I have 42inch Sharp HD TV and when i'm connecting to it my qosmio (x305-q705) with vista, the cursor is missing in TV. But when i'm looking at the laptop's monitor, the cursor is. I'm connecting by hdmi. Does anybody have any tips how to solve this probelm ?

Re: qosmio x305 q705 cursor missing

I had this problem too. It happened when I updated the Nvidia display drivers from Nvidia's site, rather than Toshiba's website. When I completely removed the drivers and reinstalled the ones from Toshiba, the problem was fixed. Apparently a lot of other people have this problem (not limited to Toshiba laptops) as the problem is posted numerous times around the Internet. It definitely seems to be a driver problem. It's possible it was just that particular version of drivers I was originally using from Nvidia (rather than them being "unsupported" by Toshiba, per se), but either way, reverting to the older version fixed the problem. Uninstall the Nvidia Display Drivers, run a program called "DriverSweeper" and then reinstall the drivers.

Qosmio X305-Q705

The driver you want to reinstall depends upon which Vista you have.

For 32-bit.

nVidia Display Driver for Windows Vista/7 (32)

For 64-bit.

nVidia Display Driver for Windows Vista (64bit)
