I have a Toshiba satellite A305-S6825. I have a JVC camcorder. JVC sent me the cable to download the video which is a DV cable. The one end fits perfectly into the camcorder but I cannot connect to the computer because I do not have a DV port. Can anyone help?
I think your DV cable is a fire wire cable. Does your computer have an input labeled i link,or maybe ie1394, or firewire? These are all the same. They come in 4 pin and 6 pin connectors. If you have the port on your computer you may be able to get an adapter if you need one to convert from 4 pin to 6 pin. Hope this helps.
