Original Recovery disc not recognized

I thought I posted this but I guess it was in a senior moment.

I have an A45 S120 - great unit purchased in 2004. Runs wonderfully but after all these years I want to reimage it.

Took out the Recovery Disc that shipped with the new unit and ran the disc. Got an error message saying that the disc was specifcally meant for recovery of an A45 series computer and my unit was not correctly configured for it.

That's a surprise! So what am I supposed to use for a recovery disc?

Could I just reformat and then reinstall XP using the OEM XP key? I know I might  miss out on all that wonderful bloatware that shipped with the new unit but that's a chance I'm willing to take! I did make copies of the Toshiba Users Manual and Toshiba tools so I could just reload them.

Is there a recovery disc out there that would work with my system? I'm starting to doubt it.
