I would like to update the RAM memory on my Satellite A135-S4527. My computer has Windows Vista Home
Premium. The processor is T2080 1.73 GHz, 32 bit, They way I understand it my computer has around
1 gigabyte of RAM memory but is upgradeable to 2 GB. I opened the back of it up and it looks like there are
two slots which have memory in each slot totalling I guess 1 GB.
What do I need to buy in order to upgrade to 2GB. Do I need one 2 GB or do I need two 1 GBs?
Appreciate answer from someone who knows. Thanks!

According to Kingston, a company who specializes in memory, your Satellite A135-S4527 requires two KTT533D2/1G 1 GB memory modules to reach the max of 2 GB. From accounts of others on this and other forums, you should use this exact memory module to avoid compatibility issues.

I have an A135-S4427, and was able to upgrade to 4GB of ram, (2-2GB sticks) with out a problem. I just had to make sure that when I did the upgrade Service Pack 1 was installed. When I reformatted and reinstalled windows, the system was only reading 2.99 GB (I think, I know it was something close to this amount) until I got SP1 reinstalled. I hope this helps.

I have this model and used two Kingston 1GB sticks to get 2 GB. Unfortunately, the two 512MB are pretty much worthless at current prices.

The S4427 is upgradeable to 4GB but the S4527 is not.
