I have inherited a Satellite A75 but cannot determine the rest of the model # (S-xxx i guess). Apparently the mdl # is needed to determine which downloads are avail. How can i learn the remaining mdl data ? Thanx.

If the label on the bottom is missing or too worn to read, you can downlaod and run Belarc Adviser.

Exact same problem (what's the deal with these labels anyway?). Belarc Advisor reports the exact same info as the pre-loaded Toshiba Diagnostics:
A75 PSA70U-003002
This does not correspond to any of the model #s listed in the download applet (i.e., A75-Sxxxx).
BIOS appears to apply to the whole 70/75 model line, but device drivers will certainly vary by model.

Sorry for typing without thinking....
Take the model # reported by Toshiba Diagnotics, Belarc Advisor, or Windows System Information and GOOGLE it. My model # PSA70U-003002 came back as A75-S206. Bada Bing.
