Has anyone found a solution to this problem. My A135 S2326 has stopped recognizing any USB device in any USB support. I've researched it and it seems to be a common problem that has no solution. I've scratched the system and reloaded Vista. Can it be a motherboard problem?

Quite possibly a motherboard problem. Is it still under warranty?
If you don't bother to post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

PV, if he didn't post back then he probably did. I wouldn't expect him to answer now though. IF he didn't bother to post a thank you or what the solution was it's doubfull that he's going to offer up anything almost 2 months later.
The usual fix is to go into device manager and uninstall the USB conrollers and hub, then reboot the systm to have Windows re-install them. Let us know if it doesn't work.

My Satellite A135-S2356 is having the same USB port issues. I tried removing and reinstalling all the USB controllers from the device manager then rebooting but nothing helped. I even did the disc recovery and nothing. This is an issue that Toshiba should look in to are have a fix to it not common that a lot of people have the same problem with this model. Has anyone tried contacting them.

GMp, you don't remove then reinstall from the Device Manager. That doesn't work For whatever reason it only works when you just remove them from Device Mangaer and reboot the system to let Windows reinstall them automatically.

cee_64, Sorry for the confusion. That's what I meant. I did exactly what you are saying.
I'm not happy with Toshiba I will never buy again from them.

I too have lost use of my USB ports. I uninstalled and rebooted to no avail. Will shop for another brand tomorrow.
