Hey All,

I'm new to this forum, but have owned my Satellite M45 for a couple of years.

I am at the point that I'm experiencing real slow downs with IE and other browsers.  I only have 512MB of RAM.  I have an extra slot for another 512MB, 1GB, or 2GB card.  I'm not quite sure how to configure my memory upgrade, however, because of the dual channel capability of the CPU.  The specs state that I can upgrade to 2GB of RAM, and I want to upgrade to as much RAM as I can.

My question is: can up grade to 2GB per channel or 2GB for the overall system?

If the specs call of a maximum of 2 GB, then that's 2 GB for the whole computer.

Which M45?
