went to use the webcam a dialog box opens to tell me that webcam driver open fail please restart camera or computer.  I have restarted the computer several times and also the camera i have downloaded updates for the driver and installed them but still doesn't work it worked fine a couple of days ago but now nothing the blue light won't even come on.  I have even diabled it and enabled several times but still does no good.  Need some help

It sounds like a hardware failure, but I can't be sure.  Try going into Device Manager and uninstalling the camera then reboot the system to have Windows automatically re-install it.  This often times works. 

If it doesn't the next step is to backup your personal data and Restore the system to it's factory out of box state.  If that doesn't fix it then it is a hardware failure that will require servicing.
