No. I was referring to any of the Message Boards that specialize in Linux since there isn't a specific Linux section here.
If you don't bother to post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

Do you know of any good linux site that don't just bash Toshiba. Even Ubuntu forums don't seem to answer questions about display problems in the L355-S7915 posted there.

Almost every Linux forum I have ever visited tends to be populated by pompous elitist Uber Geeks. That's the main reason why Linux hasn't caught on as a mainstream OS. These self righteous know it alls take great delite in goint out of their way to make things as difficult as possible for beginners. Try http://justlinux.com/ or http://www.linuxquestions.org/

Hey Jim The Administrator,
Please give us an answer that is logical and explain why other Major Companies post all and more than we need on ther Web Site ? For F R E E Jim.
I have created 3 User ID' to log back on? Sorry I did not come back and reply.
Now this guy must be connected to Toshiba? I know I'ma get kicked out the forum but here goes.
This is laughable, "You don't ask why the service manuals aren't available, but I believe one reason is because they contain proprietary information. Besides protecting Toshiba's intellectual property, for some models the information would also make it possible for thieves to defeat the system password."
HP, Compaq, Dell has any and all INFO posted on their SITE for the whole world to see. I am completely shocked this guy would post that stuff where most of the other USERS can read and write.
Not only does TOSHIBA not have TOP NOTCH tech support, their FORUM Support is Non-Existant plus they must have smelled me or something to block my resistrations.
OK, I agree I have to give up. I cant get a straight answer here at all. But I have 1 ? before I go..."Are these slick answers controlled by the Slick Louisiana Politicians? I hate to log off cause I will never get back on.

It looks like I was partitally wrong. There does appear to be a seperate Linux Support Area here at Toshiba. I don't see a forum, but there is a Mailing List and an Archive of messages. I didn't spend a lot of time checking it all out, but thre might be something there that you will find useful.

I'll tell you why. So after 4 years your monitor can start going bad.
It's nice to have white bars going top to bottom on your screen.
I really appreciate the margin after. Not LOL
