If you have 32bit Windows there is absolutely no reason to add more ram as your system will NOT be able to utilize more than 3.2 to 3.5gb ram. You won't notice the difference. You can only utilize 4gig or more if you have 64bit Windows.
That system can only hold a maximum of 4gig so there is NO realistic reason to add more ram or switch to 64bit windows.
If you do decide to get more ram you'll need to remove the 1gig stick and replace it with a 2gig stick of Kingston KTT (do NOT buy their KVR line). Go to Kingston to see specifically which to get, but it will be wasting your money.
If you don't bother to post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.
