Hey all,
I currently have a Satellite Pro M15-S406, & the factory installed hard drive has died on me. What kind of hard drive does this laptop support? And does this hard drive in the below link work?
Thanks Guys!

That system supports EIDE hard drives, normally specified as ATA-5, ATA-6 or ATA-100. The Samsung drive you referenced should work as long as you can jumper it as 'Master'. If it is cable select only, it will not work. According to the Samsung manual for that drive it does have a jumper block so it should be OK. Western Digital Blue Scorpio and Seagate Momentus lines have EIDE drives that would also be compatible. The only question I can't answer is whether your system supports 24-bit or 48-bit LBA. If the lower value, the system can only address 137GB of hard drive space. I see 160GB drives offered for the M15 series so I would guess that it supports 48-bit LBA but that's not always a sure thing.
