I have a Satelite L305-5945.  Can I download Toshiba Value Added Package (TVAP) for Windows 7/Vista (64)?

For windows 7 yes.  There isn't one for Vista on the support site for your system.

Hi, I just found this site by Googling. If I break any protocol, please be gentle.

I just purchased a brand new Toshiba NB305 netbook. While attempting to clean up the unnecessary stuff, I accidentally deleted the Toshiba Value Added package (I thought I was killing something else).

I have no idea what this package was supposed to do. What does it do, is it something I should try to get back, and if it's worthwhile how would I get it back?

From the Suppoort Document about the Value Added Package:

This package installs a range of important utilities.
- TOSHIBA Components Common Driver is an essential component of Windows. It is required to make the other TOSHIBA original programs work properly.
- TOSHIBA Power Saver controls power consumption by switching to optimum power settings, based on whether the machine is plugged in or on battery power, and based on the remaining battery power.
- TOSHIBA Utilities lets you customize your hardware settings according to the way that you work with your computer and the peripherals you use. To start the utility, click the Windows Start button and click Control Panel and select the TOSHIBA HW Setup icon.
- TOSHIBA Password Utility lets you set a password that restricts access to the computer.
- TOSHIBA Flash Cards provides the Hotkey function and the launcher function that starts the Hotkey function and launches the other TOSHIBA utilities.
- TOSHIBA PC Diagnostic Tool can display the basic information of a computer and diagnose

Thanks. That does sound like something I should reinstall. I'll start looking around for it.

Go to the product support link at the top of this page, enter in your model number, then click on the downloads tab.  Now download the drivers, utilities, and applications for that model.  You can use the left hand Drop Down Menu to filter for OS and the right hand DDM to filter for type of file.

The NB305 with Windows 7 Starter would be a 32-bit device, not 64-bit, is that correct?
