All,
I have a satellite A20. I do not get any sound from the internal speakers although sound is available from the external speaker outlet. The only change to the software has been an upgrade in Windows XP to Service pack 3. All the settings have been checked, mutes etc, and all appears OK. Sound software was also reloaded.
Any ideas what the problem might be?

Did you find the sound driver for that model on the Australian site? I can't on that new download page. I can only locate downloads for the new machines. Is there a secret way?
What happens when you uninstall SP3?

I have uploaded drivers which had no effect. Also uninstalled SP3 without effect. I still get sound from external speakers using output jack

Maybe a hardware problem. The only way to tell for sure is to restore the hard disk to its original state using Toshiba recovery media.
