Sound Utility to Turn Mute Off After Upgrading to Vista
Didn't work for my Tecra A9-PTS52E, will now try the updated A8 sound drivers, got nothing to lose...
Edit: Still no sound trying the following:

Here's the site
The funny thing is my Tecra A9-PTS52E doesn't appear in the download section of this page, think Toshiba hasn't developed any Win7 drivers for this notebook yet...

Tecra A9 PTS52E
Your 64-bit driver should be this one. Right?

As I mentioned in an earlier post that after installing the latest audio driver that I found on the Toshiba website my audio was working. The next day I had installed Skype and was fiddling around with it trying to get the microphone to work. Since then I once again have no audio. I have since reinstalled Win 7 twice but still have no audio even after using the new drivers.
Question for those who might know: I've noticed that in my XP setup(on same machine) that in the device manager under sound it shows a bunch of audio codecs in addition to the Realtek driver. In my Win 7 setup the device manager only shows the Realtek. Could the missing codecs be the reason why the audio doesn't work?
Thanks
