Hoping somebody will have a clue
I was using skype fine.
Added google video and chat
then no longer had microphone
tried to fix it
made it worse
deleted default mic
left with realtek, but nothing functioning
mic doesn't work on sound recorder/skype/google etc
device manager says everything is functioning,
and yet
not
have tried
not allowing skype to control mic levels automatically
right clicking and enabling hidden devices in control panel under recording devices
reinstallind realtek driver
every volume/mute control I can find
even restored system to pre-google chat installation
what, oh what, should I do next??
