I have a Tecra TE2300 and the specs say it can be upgraded to 2 gigs of ram. I had 1.2 gigs of ram installed preivously. I just bought a new 1 gig stick of PC2100 266MHZ of RAM. I bought the new 1 gig stick based on the information that was on the sticker of the 256mb stick of ram that came with my computer.
I installed the new 1 gig stick and ran BELARC ADVISOR, the scan shows the that I have 1024 of ram in each of the two memory slots. Yet when I check the properties under my computer is only shows 1.2 gigs as well as the Belarc scan. Which is what I had, when I had a 256mb and 1 gig stick installed. I went to crucial.com and their test showed 2 gigs. But one stick was PC2700 and the other was PC2100.
So how can I tell if my ram available and being accessed is 1.2gigs or 2gigs? And is there any know driver or software patch to make it work at the 2 gigs?
Please help...
Thanks
