1920 x 1080 native resolution not supported in video bios

I have Toshiba Satellite M105-S322 Laptop, and I purchased a secondary display with 1920 x 1080 optimal resolution. Drivers are up to date, and I downloaded the system BIOS update.  I checked the Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset latest Driver version 6.14.10.4926 *.inf file for the resolution setting that I need, and it is there (see file attached) but I do not know how to enable this resolution option in BIOS.  If someone, knows, I would appreciate your advice.  Or is this display simply not compatible with my laptop?  Thanks.

1920 x 1080 display resolution not supported by Video Bios setting

Hi.  I have a Toshiba Satellite M105-S322 with Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Display Adapter.  I purchased a Dell S2309W 23" widescreen LCD HD monitor as a secondary display, and all drivers have been installed correctly, including a system BIOS update.  Available resolutions are 1920 x 1440 and 2048 x 1536. The customer support representative at Intel said that they have seen that the 1920 x 1080 resolution is often not available because the system manufacturer has disabled some of the video bios options - could you help me to enable that option?  Thank you. Rebecca.

Re: 1920 x 1080 display resolution not supported by Video Bios setting

I have similar issue with my Toshiba M105-S3041 laptop that it fails to display 1920x1080. It can only go up to 1680x1050. What is wrong with this laptop? It is also running Intel 945GM chipset.

Re: 1920 x 1080 display resolution not supported by Video Bios setting

Hi. What Video BIOS do you have. I also have a 945GM graphics card but my resolution is 1600 x 1200 and then the next one is 2048 x 1536 . How was you able to get the 1680 x 1050 one? Most monitors get that resolution these days.
