5105-S901 Geforce 4 Go.. Resolution max's at 1588x1200 not 1600x1200, normal or driver issue?

I just acquired a used 5105-s901 Geforce 4 Go chipset, the driver is supplied by windows xp, I can't find any current drivers that will work for it.  In the specs it says the native resolution is 1600x1200, but the highest I can set this is 1588x1200.

I tried to look through the legacy section of Nvidia, I was going to install the last detnator driver I seen online but when I try that it tells me the driver is older then what I am using, continue?

Does anyone have any reccomendations to get the correct resolution going on this laptop?

Thanks in advance

Did you try the Toshiba supplied XP display driver for your laptop model?  Go to the Product Support Link at the top of this page, click on the Show All Models link, the enter in your model number.  Use the drop down menus to filter to Windows XP and Display to find it.

Thanks cee_64, I didn't try that first becuase of the driver age, but I just went ahead and installed it and it works. that's all that really matters =)

Now to figure out another minor annoyance, the sound, I got the right sound driver from here but the sound is very low even on max...I'll start a new thread as well.

Audio problems aren't my strong suit.  But I'm glad that the video is working better now.

I got the solution in the audio section, I wasn't aware that Toshiba's had a physical volume switch, lol... once I found the switch (next to the DVD rom drive on this one) I was able to turn it up.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know about them.
