We bought a laptop model number PSLC8U-03701Q on June 26th 2009 for our son in college. He kept it in a computer backpack and the LCD screen broke. I just wanted everyone to know that I think it is really crappy that Toshiba will not stand behind their product. My son did not misuse or mistreat this computer. I see that others are having similar problems. Are the screens that are being used all pieces of junk or what? We have three other laptops that are much older and have had no problems with them.

Your son broke the screen on his laptop and you want Toshiba to be liable for it? Keep dreaming.

a lcd screen does not break without force being applied to it... same as your tv... same as your cell phone. toshiba uses the same screens as all the other laptop manufacturer's... your's is broken and will have to be replaced... toshiba isn't going to do anything and i wouldn't expect them to.
